About the book

Kira is wide awake when a glowing rainbow appears outside her bedroom window. Her twin brother Jaxson snores right through it. Her big brother Maverick says, “Nope.” But Kira and her cat Biscuit know that a rainbow this magical does not come around every night.

So they climb it. Up through the clouds to Sleepy Sky Town, where the moon moths yawn all day and one shy little star is hiding in the dark. Can a brave girl, a very curious cat, and a flashlight help a tiny star shine?

Sujan is the author on the cover, but Kira (age 6) drives the storylines. She picks the adventures, the feelings that matter, and where the night rainbow goes next. Maverick and Jaxson show up in the stories too — because siblings belong in the fun.

This is Book 1 of a series she wants to keep going. When she’s ready, she’ll help dream up Book 2 and beyond.
